SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) revealed a definitive agreement on Monday to acquire Nod.ai, aiming to bolster its open AI software capabilities. This move is set to fast-track AI solutions optimized for various AMD hardware. Vamsi Boppana, the Senior Vice President at AMD, expressed that the acquisition will significantly uplift their capacity to furnish AI customers with open software. Nod.ai, known for its compiler-based automation software, will now work under AMD's umbrella to deliver optimized AI solutions globally, ensuring quicker deployment and higher performance of AI models across diverse platforms powered by AMD.
